Enigma II
Hand painted screen print with charcoal and metallic powders on somerset satin paper
180 x 75 cm
Edition 5/7
All unique
The model was photographed by Emerson in the artists studio then combined with the headdress.
The prints are hand printed by the artist in Brighton using a technique she has pioneered using charcoal and gold bronze powders, which give the image a softness and ephemeral quality. The charcoal powder adds a subtle texture and the bronze powder adds some sparkle too.
Each print is unique as the headdresses are hand painted in my studio.
All prints have been sprayed with fixative and layers of archival UV resistant matt varnish to protect their delicate textural surface. Prints are signed and editioned in pencil.
Install shot features a different (sold) edition and is just a reference for scale.
